Formerly known as Cocktail Caravan MV, Summer Solstice Beverage Co. was created by Leila Gardner in 2020. Leila grew up on Marthas Vineyard and worked in many facets of the islands event and catering industries before deciding to start her own venture in 2019. She began with the idea to convert a vintage horse trailer into a mobile bar to serve specialty cocktails from at weddings and events. When Leila found a sweet little 1976 horse trailer in Maine, she got to work on the transformation. After 7 months in the shop, the conversion was finally finished and the caravan was ready for her debut! 3 years later, the business had created a momentum of its own and grown in a variety of ways, which lead Leila to rebrand as Summer Solstice Beverage Co. to better encompass the variety of services now being offered by the company. If you spent time on Martha’s Vineyard in the 90’s or early 2000’s, the name Summer Solstice might sound familiar to you as it was the name of a clothing store on Main Street, Vineyard Haven that was owned Leilas mother Jennifer who passed away in 2019.
